Perfect for everyday cooking or bistro-style entertaining, the Pyrocast Skillet with Maple Tray allows you to serve individual, piping hot, sizzling dishes straight from the stove top, barbecue, or oven to the table. This versatile skillet is ideal for cooking anything from Huevos Rancheros for breakfast to spinach and tomato frittatas for lunch, and even mini molten lava cakes for dessert. The included maple tray fits snugly, protecting your benchtops and table from heat marks.

Features:

  • Heavy Duty Cast Iron: Retains heat at high cooking temperatures, ideal for searing, sautéing, and grilling.
  • Versatile Use: Suitable for home cooks, restaurants, or outdoor camping.
  • Compatible with All Cooktops: For use on induction, ceramic, electric, gas, grills, or campfires.
  • Pre-Seasoned with Black Patina: Prevents rusting and improves with every use.
  • Serve Hot Sizzling Dishes: Straight to the table.
  • Improved Performance: Seasoning process started to prevent sticking from the first use.
  • Twin Curved Spouts: For drip and mess-free pouring.

Use & Care:

  • Pre-Heating: Apply vegetable oil to the cooking surface and pre-heat slowly before cooking.
  • Temperature Setting: Use low to medium heat for most applications; high heat only for short-term searing or browning.
  • Vegetable Oil Coating: Suitable for frying or searing, retains heat conduction properties, and protects from rust.
  • Avoid Dishwasher: Do not wash in the dishwasher as it will strip the seasoning and cause rust.
  • Cleaning: Clean with a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. Use a pan scraper for stuck-on bits.
  • Drying: Towel dry immediately and apply a light coating of oil while the pan is still warm.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Thermal Shock: Never put a hot cast iron pan into cold water to avoid warping or cracking.
  • Safety: Use oven mitts or pot holders as cast iron gets very hot during use.

Cleaning & Care:

  • Hand Wash: Wash by hand with a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. Use a pan scraper for stuck-on bits.
  • Detergent Use: A little detergent is okay, but too much may wear away the seasoning.
  • Sticky Situations: Simmer a little water for 1 minute, then use the scraper after cooling.
  • Dry Promptly: Dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Oil Coating: Rub with a very light layer of cooking oil while the cookware is still warm to protect from rust.
  • Storage: Hang or store in a dry place.
  • Avoid Dishwasher: Do not wash in the dishwasher as it will destroy the seasoning and cause rust.
